THE EFFECT OF BODY FAT PERCENTAGE ON VO2MAX IN FACULTY OF MEDICINE STUDENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LAMPUNG

Changes in lifestyle and high levels of stress early semester medical students have the potential to increase risk obesity which will a direct effect on increasing body fat percentage due inadequate physical activity. The sufficiently affects maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) during exercise. This study aims determine fats VO2max at University Lampung. research is correlative analytic with cross-sectional approach, using primary data obtained from simple random sampling technique. A total 39 male Faculty Medicine Lampung batch 2022 who met inclusion exclusion criteria were measured for BMI stepping scale, followed by measurement Balke Test method. results this indicate that there significant relationship between correlation coefficient (r) -0.800, significance value p<0.000. formed - 0.800 indicating very strong negative variables, meaning higher percentage, lower values, vice versa.
